Frequently Asked Questions About Business Coaching
Coaching is more than hiring a professional cheerleader to make sure you feel good about yourself. It's foundational for the self-awareness and discipline required to take meaningful action, day in and day out.
However, coaching isn't for everyone...
What is the difference between coaching and consulting?
Coaching is about the 'how' and the 'why.' Consulting is about the 'what.'
Coaching is an incremental process to improve self-awareness, overcome resistance around a problem, and take meaningful action toward a desired outcome. Consulting provides knowledge, training and prescriptive solutions. Both are valuable. That said, how often do businesses pay for consulting services but cannot execute on the desired outcome? If there is no change in behaviour or perspective, then there can be no change in business results.
In business coaching, the consulting piece is 'baked in.' You're here to build a better business after all. However, my approach is to coach first, advise second. Sales people tend to get mired in reactionary problem-solving. Coaching clears the fog of the daily grind, so you can act on the right things, with purpose and intention. Coaching also holds you accountable.
As we move through our coaching calls, I will certainly advise on the 5-star systems and tools that will help you succeed. You'll be coached on how to deliver those things, rather than struggling alone.
How long until I see results?
If you do the 'homework' and fully engage with the coaching process on each call, you'll start seeing change right away. This is because you'll never get off a call without a strategic 'to-do' tied to your business priorities. That said, give yourself at least three months to make the bigger, lasting shifts.
Creating a 5-star business you love to lead takes commitment and practice. Eventually you'll take back control of your time and carefully start building (or re-building!) systems and processes that serve you, your clients and your 5-star business.
If you don't do the homework, then results won't come. It's that simple. However, I'm very good at holding clients accountable and will provide respectful ass-kicking as needed 😊
I'm an introvert. Can I still build a lucrative, 5-star sales business?
Absolutely! This topic is close to my heart, because I'm a dyed-in-the-wool introvert. In fact, before I got into real estate I was terrified of the phone and thought I was never, ever going to be the 'people person' who could just roll over and close a sale.
Then something changed...
I started to attract and close business, comfortably and authentically. It never felt loud or pushy. What saved me were systems. I built predictable but highly strategic systems that did all the closing and negotiating for me. It sounds like magic but it isn't. It's just knowing how to relate with humanity a little better and then letting 'the close' come to you.
Do you coach people in other industries?
Yes. The principles of service and success in business track across most industries. I also have a diversity of experience that reaches beyond real estate and finance. If you're a business owner seeking to systemize your success, communicate with more impact, and deliver remarkable service to customers, then I can most likely help you!
The same program structure and fees apply as if you were a real estate coaching client; however, content can be customized to your personal situation. Make sure to review program details on the Coaching page. Then apply for coaching here, if you want to take the next step.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you decide you no longer want to continue, please provide at least 14 days' notice in advance of the next coaching month. Coaching is invoiced and paid for monthly, one week in advance of the 1st or 15th of the month. There are no refunds for coaching services already provided.
