The Crossings has become the most walkable, urban-feeling pocket of West Lethbridge — new construction sitting right alongside everyday retail, dining, and recreation, so little requires a drive across town.
Recreation: The Cor Van Raay YMCA at Cavendish Farms Centre anchors the community — an aquatics centre with waterslides and a lazy river, a multi-sport fieldhouse, a fitness centre, an indoor track, gymnasiums, and an indoor playground. The Crossings Leisure Complex adds an ice rink facility alongside it, and the Crossings branch of the Lethbridge Public Library serves the community directly.
Schools: Chinook High School and Catholic Central High School — the only two high schools on the west side — sit in the middle of the neighbourhood, with G.S. Lakie Middle School within walking distance.
Retail: A steadily growing commercial core includes No Frills, Tim Hortons, Boston Pizza, Rexall, Original Joe's, Servus Credit Union, Smitty's, and local services like Crossings Dental and Coulee Veterinary.
What's coming: The Core Crossing development broke ground in May 2026 — a roughly $300-million project bringing West Lethbridge's first full-service hotel, a new Wendy's, about 100,000 square feet of mixed-use commercial space, 450 residential units, and a Green Acres Foundation seniors' facility, with completion expected by 2030.
Getting around: A bus route connects the community directly to the University of Lethbridge transit terminal, and its position on Whoop Up Drive makes both the west side and south side an easy drive.
Nearby: Garry Station sits right next door — see the Garry Station page.
Who it suits: Buyers who want the most amenity-dense new-construction option in the city, with more commercial development still to come.
